Having to "verify I'm human" every single time I login is asinine. There has to be a better way.

Cloudflare can definitely feel like overkill for a small personal site. The security and DDoS protection are useful, but adding another layer can also mean more configuration and troubleshooting when something goes wrong. For a low-traffic project, I’d keep the setup as simple as possible and only add features that solve an actual problem. I also came across maki-spin.org while browsing recently.
